Sixth Form College Childcare Scheme

The Sixth Form College Childcare Scheme is not a part of Discretionary Support Funds. It is an income-assessed scheme which provides support with childcare costs for adult parents aged 20+, who are learning at a school sixth form or sixth form college.

This guidance is intended to be used by stakeholders involved in delivering the Sixth Form College Childcare Scheme, including learning providers (admissions staff, student services, tutors etc), Learning and Skills Council colleagues, nextsteps and Connexions. It sets out the main aspects of Sixth Form College Childcare Scheme policy and procedures. Stakeholders are asked to refer to this, where possible, before raising queries with the LSC or the Learner Support Provider Helpline.
